Ep987: Gettin' Our Phil: BATMAN (1989)
Ian and David are on a cape-free crusade to celebrate Batman's 35th anniversary!
The guys recently attended the Chicago Philharmonic's one-night-only movie/concert event, which saw Tim Burton's 1989 comic adaptation projected on the big screen, as a full orchestra performed Danny Elfman's unforgettable score underneath.
In this installment of "Gettin' Our Phil", Ian and David reminisce about late-80's Batmania; dig into the reasons Burton's vision of the Dark Knight may be the purest ever captured on film (at least in live-action); and share some ups and downs of seeing Batman in the Windy City's historic Auditorium Theatre!
