Ep908: Page2Screen: HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE
Ian and Cole once again celebrate Harry Potter's birthday with a special "Page2Screen" review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!
In this sixth-annual installment, the guys look at director David Yates' attempt to squeeze J.K. Rowling's rich tale of burgeoning teen emotions and the corrupting influence of unearned power into a 2-hour procession of lovely-looking cut scenes.
While acknowledging the challenges of adapting such a complex book, they scratch their heads at weird scene choices, the screenwriters' mix 'n match style of narrative hopscotch, and the omission of entire character motivations.
They also reveal how they'll handle next year's Deathly Hallows undertaking--which involves two movies taken from one novel!
