Ep1265: Castle Freaks: Mr. Sardonicus (1961) - Live Charity Movie Review
Spooky Season may be drawing to a close, but Kicking the Seat is still Treating the Hungry with our second livestream of the week!
In our first-ever live edition of "Castle Freaks", Ian and Jeff take on the 1961 Gothic thriller, Mr. Sardonicus!
Guy Rolfe stars as the titular mysterious and cruel Baron, whose face has become frozen in a horrifying grin. He seeks out a prominent London physician, and demands that he use experimental treatments to restore his face.
If that sounds an awful lot like Clayface, well, we noticed that, too! But how does this stack up to previous Castle productions? And how will Ian and Jeff vote in their very own "Punishment Poll"?
Join the guys as we put on our happy faces to discuss this dramatically different Castle flick! We also take your questions and comments in the chat!
We're also continuing our 2026 "Kicking the Seat Treats the Hungry" campaign, in an effort to support Feeding America's nationwide network of food banks. With over 47 million people facing hunger in the United States, every dollar makes a difference! Please donate today!
Bonus! Supporters who donate $10 or more will be entered into a special November 1st drawing! One lucky winner will receive an original illustration of their favorite movie monster, drawn by renowned caricature artist (and Kicking the Seat co-host) Jeff York!
