Ep1014: SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER & UNCUT (1999) - LIVE 25th Anniversary Review
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut turned 25 recently, and Earth's Mightiest Critics are ready to celebrate with a foul-mouthed frenzy--a virtual caca cacophony!
Okay, not really. But we will look back on Trey Parker and Matt Stone's 1999 big-screen adaptation of their revolutionary Comedy Central cartoon, which finds Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny awash in controversy over their desire to see the R-rated Terrance and Phillip Movie. This small-town scrape over appropriate media for children soon escalates into a full-scale culture war--and possibly a World War spearheaded by Saddam Hussein and Satan!
Oh, and did we mention it's one of the catchiest musicals of all time?
Join us as we sing praises, sling spoilers, and wrestle with the eternal "old movie" problem: "Could they make this today?"
