Today, the Kicking the Seat Podcast welcomes back Aaron Christensen of Horror 101 with Dr. A.C. to discuss two little-seen and wildly different "backyard horror" movies. The guys take on the controversial "video nasty", Suffer, Little Children and J.R. Bookwalter's low-budget zombie-apocalypse epic, The Dead Next Door!
At first glance, neither movie is worth the time of audiences who prefer polish (and semi-professionalism) in their entertainment, but Ian and Aaron delve into the hows and whys of each film's trashy treasures--including a sidebar about censorship in UK horror. Plus, Ian brings up some fascinating info on Bookwalter, courtesy of an old Love-It-Loud interview with the writer/director that he found while doing his homework for this episode.
Also, Ian teases the return of Asian Pop-up Cinema, which kicks off its fifth season this Wednesday night!
Episode 254 is our most odd odyssey into obscurity!
